Who would of thought I would of been lucky enough to get to meet, listen to and learn from the great party planner Kara from Karas Party Ideas. On February 28th Sugar Coated Mama & Confetti Fair transformed the beautiful Williamstown Town Hall into a gorgeous home for the Kara’s Melbourne workshop and thats exactly what happened. My sister Josefa and I were so excited about what the day would bring and it did not disappoint.
We got to taste the yummiest treats, meet the most talented people, learn new tricks of the trade and be inspired by people I admire so much. On top of the great workshop there were also some stalls already set up for Confetti Fair which was being held the next day.
Below is a little snippet of the day and some of my favorite things that I saw.
How fabulous are these name tags we all got to wear!
It was a highlight to meet the gorgeous Josie from Two Little Jays Lolly Buffet. I’ve been a huge fan for so long, always gushing at her and her unique style and eye. How amazing is the cake on the swing?!?! LOVE LOVE!
The colour used in this stand by Igby Productions is fab… throw in a few skulls and I’m sold!
Stylish Little Parties was simply gorgeous with their coral, teal & glitter set up and this mixed cupcake & macaron plate was the sweetest thing ever. My Sweet Event Lolly Buffet Hire was just that… super sweet with their pink & gold display that came from the heart.
Sprinkled won me over with their pink metallic cake pops and what a fab idea using strips of different fabrics as the backdrop. Love Every Detail is exactly what I did, especially at these cookie boxes.
Celebrating Occasions had a balloon display was so fab it made me forget that I am TERRIFIED of balloons. Mini Montage‘s photo booth for kids was the cutest thing ever and how awesome does their sign look! Sweet Sticks had the most darling cake pop display shelf showcasing their individual designs like no one else.
So you must be wondering, what is that amazingly succulent looking cupcake in the bottom left corner? Well my pretties… it was the most amazing thing I have ever tasted. The lemon meringue cupcake that was part of our afternoon tea supplied by Melbourne Cupcake Co. I honestly can not give it enough praise… it was amazing!
And there are a few photos of the wonderful things we learnt about from the inspiring Kara.
My day was not about taking photos (I had my sister with me who was taking care of that) & I didn’t get to snap everything. So a couple more people that are worth a mention are Nectar and Stone who provided us with the sweetest morning tea. Another huge highlight was getting to see Helena from Sweet Tiers in action (I’ve been a little bit of an Instagram stalker). She had the most wonderful things to say and is a natural at creating the most beautiful things.
Overall it was the perfect end to summer getting to meet, learn and be inspired with the sun shining into the most gorgeous venue.
